Religious tolerance

I am a big believer in having tolerance for all religions. In my opinion, all religions are just different points of view, telling the same story. We all come from the Father and Mother.why we have this need to destroy, mock, get rid of other religions that "threaten" others is absolutely ridiculous.
We all need to realize that there is no one all powerful religion. Humanity needs to stop judging and stop killing each other. If we stopped trying to hurt each other and start helping each other. No, i am not against guns because I think that even though I am talking about humanity and kindness; there are individuals that wish to harm others and we need protection from those people.
I believe myself to be spiritual and pagan and I believe that we should help heal each other.

Don't get me wrong

Ok, don't get me wrong about Christianity.I love my christian family but I hate how pushy they can be. My son hasn't even started asking questions about God yet and already his grandparents on both sides either push for him to go to church or they push a bible at him all the while telling me, not asking but telling, to read it to him. For his sake, I try to grin and bear it but I'm getting to the point of telling them to back off.
He just turned five and already owns two versions of the "my first bible".

Some people...

As a pagan I have learned that you have to have tough skin and be able to take criticism with kindness. I,however, find that I don't really have that tough skin so when i see and hear people talk badly about pagans,wiccans, it really grinds my nerves.
Most wiccans I've come to know over the internet don't tell you about the downside...no one does.but it is something you will face at least once in your life if you choose this spiritual path.the people that will ridicule you are really just afraid of you. You're outside their safe little world that they may have always known and humanity does not do well with change.especially the spiritual kind of change.

Dragonstone

Last night I got an itching to try sleeping with one of my stones in my hand.I could feel the power of the stone pulsing in my hand. I even actually slept better also.
I noticed that my attitude today was better and a bit more assertive.I even stood up to my own father.I just felt protected by having it with me. The stone itself is sort of spotted and it's called a dragonstone.it has protective properties to it. Its the first stone that I ordered online and it fits in the palm of my hand.I love it.I'm thinking of trying the same technique with the other three stones I have,although I'm unsure of what they are.

Differences

It's amazing the differences in just two pregnancies. For instance the first time I was scared to death of doing something wrong. And now I'm just scared of two things:  1.that the baby will be healthy and don't have glaucoma or epilepsy.  2. And that my son will not hate his younger sibling.
This is new territory for me.I was raised an only child so my trying to divide my attention is going to be a challenge.  But I'll get through it.

St.Patrick's day

I'm not sure if this is true but I learned that the snakes that were driven out of Ireland weren't really snakes but were the Celtics and the druids that lived there.and being that st.Patrick was Christian, he drove out the pagans from Ireland. So I see today as a day of mourning rather than a day of celebrating.
I'm not going to point fingers at the Christians but their actions will be justified someday.what you send out will come back to you.

Bein an American witch...

Being an American witch is tough.between voting rights, and who to vote for, and if your like me and you live in the bible belt. The majority of Americans are Christian,Catholic or atheist.if you were to tell others that you were s witch or even saying that your pagan will make people act strange towards you.it leaves many of us to be solitary in practice.
What I mean by bible belt is that in a stretch of states there are predominantly Christians and in this area there are a church on practically every street corner.(just from my home to Wal-Mart there are at least five churches and only one of them is Catholic)  its really hard to practice witchcraft for those that live in this area because there are so few supplies especially if your trying to from being open about it.
Also in America, we have issues like elections be it state or the big presidential elections and then there's the issue of guns. And yes I support having guns but I use guns in the name of protection only. Another issue here is gay marriage. I personally think that if you are happy with the person you claim to love and that they love you back,regardless of gender,then I am happy for you. I have nothing against you.I look at many issues like this:  unless it involves me or my immediate family then I don't mind it. If you are in love with someone of the same sex then I congratulate you on your happiness.if you own guns,want to own a lot of them or if you despise them then more power to you. I just have an issue with those that want to take away a person's right to own guns.I've been in several situations where I was happy to have a gun near enough to use if needed.

American pagans also have a problem with wearing a pentagram.  Its common here to automatically assume a pentagram is used in devil worship because if the abundance of Christians drilling that into our heads. I admit that I was afraid to have a pentagram around for that reason. I was also baptized and brought up as Christian but after going through personal things I have discovered that solitary eclectic Wicca is my spirituality.
